1-second billing works in such a way that when you talk long distance using any one of our calling cards, you’re charged per second. We never round up and we don’t charge for full minutes that haven’t been used! This means that you’re getting the most out of every phone card dollar you spend with us.

For example, let’s say you call your friend Judy in Paris, France. You enjoy a wonderful conversation for 15 minutes and 25 seconds. Most other prepaid calling card companies will round up the last minute, making the total duration of your call 16 minutes. Ravitone, on the other hand, only exhausts 15 minutes and 25 seconds of your phone card minutes.

Many phone companies also engage in what is called complex rounding. Essentially, this tactic exhausts more of your phone card credits as the duration of your call increases. For example, you’re only charged per minute for calls under 2 minutes. For calls lasting over 2 minutes and under 6, you’re charged according to ‘two minute increments’. For calls that last over 6 minutes but under 10, you’re charged ‘per three minute increment’. Calls lasting over 10 minutes are based on charges ‘per four minute increment’, and so on. Imagine how much card credit you’re losing as you have longer conversations!
